Biography

Stephanie Dawn, ALSP, is a licensed spiritual counselor and life coach with a private practice in Santa Monica, California. Her license and training is from the Agape International Spiritual Center – a powerful trans-denominational spiritual community founded by Rev. Dr. Michael Beckwith, well known for his appearances in THE SECRET and on OPRAH. She has been a student of Michael Beckwith’s since 1994.  

Stephanie has been in private practice since 2001. She is the founder of Sacred Birth Work, a heart-centered form of childbirth preparation, education and counsel that prepares expectant parents for the whole transformation that occurs when a child is born. Sacred Birth Work, originally developed while she was pregnant with her first son, Jasper, merges her work as a spiritual counselor with that of the realm of fertility, conception, pregnancy and birth, allowing women and men to coalesce their spirituality and personal empowerment with pregnancy and birth to co-create confidence and peace within so they can become a clear channel as they go through this most sacred of transformations, becoming parents. In her work, Stephanie explores the emotional, mental, spiritual as well as physical aspects of the journey to parenthood. She teaches her workshops in Southern California and New York City, with plans to take them to Seattle in 2010. She is currently writing her first book of the same topic, “Sacred Birth – A Handbook to Expand, Enhance and Enjoy your Pregnancy, Birth and Beyond”.

Stephanie moved to Los Angeles in 1993 from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, where she was born and raised. Her background includes the performing arts, the visual arts, environmental and social justice activism, healing, organic living, and yoga.

Stephanie is dedicated to the transformation of human life on earth, via her counseling, writing, workshops and caring for her family. She is committed to excellence, fulfillment, grace and beauty. Stephanie anchors the awareness that we are co-creators with Spirit as we consciously manifest heaven on Earth for ourselves, our families, our community, and the world. Stephanie lives in Los Angeles with her husband, actor and vocal performer, Jon Eric Preston, and their two sons, Jasper, 5 , and Zephyr, 3, along with their cat, Fauve.
